Maritime Museum and Investigation Center is located at İnciraltı Süleyman Demirel Meydanı (İnciraltı Parkı), a green area between Özdilek İzmir Avm on the west and Çakalburnu Lagoon on the east. Maritime Museum and Investigation Center is to celebrate the ‘togetherness’ between Izmir and the sea: A complex with indoor and outdoor spaces, facilitating activities related to the various aspects of the sea. Historical boat findings and materials are also exhibited and the exhibition area can hosts various events. In addition, Maritime Museum and Investigation Center works together with DEU Institute of Marine Sciences to conduct various researches and become an information source.
