Located in İzmir İnciraltı, “Camadas” is a building which combines the ideas of an aquarium and a museum. The structure is inspired by the concept of a ship, which the building has its layout from. Camadas, meaning “layers” in Portugese, explains its visitors the relation between the layers of our world and water.
The building is composed of three different floors which represent;
1: HEIGHTS – Sky and Water (Planetarium)
0: SURFACE – Humans and Water (Maritime Museum)
-1: DEPTHS – Life Underwater (Aquarium)
