This collection is prepared in accordance with “slow design” principle of sustainable fashion movement. Based on the new consciousness emerged after COVID-19, the advantages of slow fashion regarding nature and human-life have taken into consideration, with a particular emphasis on health and safety issues in the phases of production and consumption. Inspired by designer Maka Kakashvili, who works with silk fabric and felting, this collection was prepared based on the texture of the outside of a silk cocoon. Instead of using fibers produced on industrial machines such as polyester, acetate, and nylon which are harmful to human health and nature, this collection incorporates manipulations that were prepared by hand workmanship, using ecological fibers, such as organic cotton, peace silk, linen, and wool.
